James Tai didn't notice his son's ADHD symptoms in preschool. But teachers did. James and his wife approached them, which resulted in his son being diagnosed with ADHD at age 4. James has been dealing with an internal struggle like many ADHD parents: how to decide between discipline and letting go.
James also discusses how his Asian American heritage impacts his parenting style. An incident aboard an airplane that made James feel deep empathy for his son.
