Let’s talk about Adderall first. Adderall is a prescribed stimulant medication to help people who have ADD and ADHD focus better. One major concern with Adderall being prescribed by a doctor is the appropriate diagnosis in the first place. Unfortunately, we have seen many cases of Adderall being falsely prescribed and can be an early onset that leads towards Crystal Meth use.

Crystal Meth has been around on the street for decades now. It is a stimulant as well that can be injected, smoked, nasally snorted, or eaten. While the effects of Crystal Meth are initially a rush of energy and focus, it quickly takes over and deteriorates your mind and body.

What it's like to take PRESCRIBED Adderall for ADHD/ADD || Side Effects of Adderall

featured image

Find me on IG (: @not.larissa

I’ve finally made a video about my experiences taking Adderall for my ADHD Inattentive Type.

There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the video, please watch it.
I don’t condone any use of this medication recreationally!

This is what it’s like to take Adderall for my ADHD. There are some pros and cons that I think you should know about if you’re considering talking to your doctor about starting treatment for ADHD.

The way I experience this medication is WAY different than some other videos you might see. When you have ADHD like I do, you don’t get “high” off of medications like Adderall. This drug actually helps us feel like normal people, nothing more.
There are some side effects though that you might want to know about before talking to your doctor about Adderall specifically.

I have never felt an addiction to this medication because I take it responsibly and don’t abuse it.

This is part one in a series of videos talking about managing ADHD symptoms with medication. Because ADHD can be thought of as a disorder of executive functioning so understanding this is an important lead in to making behavioral changes.

Executive function is a set of cognitive or thinking skills that are responsible for
• Planning, organizing and prioritizing
• initiating actions
• Self-inhibition
• Self-monitoring your behavior
• being able to shift your attention between tasks
• Working memory

The control for your executive functions occur in the frontal part of your brain that includes the frontal lobes and other structures such as the basal ganglia which are further down from the lobes. Executive function is also controlled by your pre-frontal cortex.

There are many conditions that could impair your executive functioning. Some of these are depression and a traumatic brain injury. A traumatic brain injury occurs when you have an injury to your head that disrupts your brain tissue. Alcohol temporarily impairs executive functioning. And if you have a stroke that occurs in the frontal part of your brain, you can have trouble with some of these functions.

The stimulant medications like Ritalin and Adderall used to treat ADHD work to increase dopamine in the pre-frontal cortex. But even with medication, many people are still left with difficulties managing some of these functions. Cognitive behavior therapy focuses on managing some of these executive skills.

Want to know more about mental health and self-improvement? On this channel I discuss topics such as bipolar disorder, major depression, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder (ADHD), relationships and personal development/self-improvement. ADHD in adults often responds well to stimulant medications like dexamphetamine and methylphenidate (brands include Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta etc). These meds can boost frontal lobe function which helps with attention and with disinhibition of impulses. But that can stifle spontaneity and playfulness and cause a range of other effects.

We explore what Adult ADHD is: the attention systems don't develop properly in some people who sedation a somewhat child-like level of attention. We touch upon some of the possible causes of ADHD and the outcomes of ADHD including the impact upon self-view.

Often people find that ADHD medications become less effective with time (toelrance), requiring higher doses (dose creep). We explore the effect of stimulant medications upon:
1. frontal lobe functions of attention and spontaneity
2. the arousal effect on energy and alertness
3. the effect of reward pathway activation on positive emotion and appetite
4. the effect of the body of increased activation

Then we contrast that with the withdraw effects:
1. worse attention
2. less energy
3. less reward activation
4. less performance

The bigger the dose, generally the greater the withdrawal effects.

We explain how this whole mess can be minimised by taking steps to avoid dose creep including taking consecutive days off the stimulant medications every week and taking a longer break every few months.

Lastly we explore the striking similarities between the drugs and our endogenous neurotransmitters.

This isn't medical advise, it's for informational purposes and any decisions about your medical treatments should be made in consultation with your treater/prescriber.

Let’s start with Adderall. Adderall is a prescription stimulant medication that helps people with ADHD and ADD focus better. The proper diagnosis is the main concern when Adderall is prescribed by a doctor. We have seen numerous cases where Adderall was prescribed incorrectly. This can lead to Crystal Meth abuse.

Crystal Methamphetamine has been used on the streets for many decades. Crystal Meth can also be used as a stimulant. It can be injected or smoked, nasally taken, or eaten. Although Crystal Meth initially gives you a surge of energy and focus, it soon takes control and damages your mind and body.

If you would like to get help for yourself or a loved one for Crystal Meth or Adderall, please call us at: (866)806-0741

Attention Deficit Disorder medications are very effective and have a quick onset. ADD medication also aid in diagnosis. If someone responds to the medication, it is considered a classic response. Simply put, if you take the medication and respond, it confirms that you have ADD. ADHD medication works by affecting dopamine transmission. This creates a nutrient rich environment for the brain that allows it to function normally.

Stimulating treatments for ADD/ADHD have a high benefit and low risk status. Most people don't get side-effects.

This World Champion Came Clean About His Adderall Use

featured image

One of Call of Duty League’s biggest stars, its 2020 champion, Huke, admitted to using Adderall during competition in a video on Wednesday.

Because Adderall is widely considered to give players an advantage over their competition, it has been a long-standing topic of debate in esports.

It’s 2021, and it’s still an issue. Let’s now talk about Adderall.
