In this video, I talk about Adderall as an adult ADHD treatment. I answer some of the most common questions about Adderall like, what is Adderall? What is Adderall used for? What is Adderall made of? What are the benefits of Adderall? What are the side effects of Adderall? Is Adderall safe? I even dispel some Adderall myths.
If you or someone you know is taking Adderall for the treatment of ADHD, this video will give you more insight about the medication. By knowing more about Adderall, you can make an informed decision whether you want to start the medication or not.
Medication for ADHD can be a tricky subject. It’s all about comparing the benefits of ADHD medication to the potential side effects of ADHD medication. Either way, the decision to medicate should be yours and yours alone. Don’t let anyone force you into, or talk you out of taking a medication that could potentially change your life.
Check out the video to get the full scoop on Adderall.

This medication is extremely popular in the USA and is usually prescribed to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
It acts as a nerve stimulant and has been used in large quantities. This can lead to addiction. It is highly controlled and only available with a prescription.
Many teenagers use these drugs illegally to increase their mental and physical productivity.
Adderall, also known as the “Good Grade Pill”, is a popular choice among students because it stimulates brain activity, makes you feel more alert and helps you focus longer.
Although Adderall may have some positive effects, the side effects are long and include increased risk of schizophrenia.
Addiction is the greatest risk with Adderall. This requires a rehabilitation program very similar to those used to treat other drug addictions.
Due to the stimulating effects, there are risks to vital organs like your heart.
You can see that the unneeded use of this medication has many health risks which may end up costing you the benefits.
We have gathered four natural options that can increase focus, concentration, or even calm nerves.

This is what it’s like to take Adderall for my ADHD. There are some pros and cons that I think you should know about if you’re considering talking to your doctor about starting treatment for ADHD.
The way I experience this medication is WAY different than some other videos you might see. When you have ADHD like I do, you don’t get “high” off of medications like Adderall. This drug actually helps us feel like normal people, nothing more. There are some side effects though that you might want to know about before talking to your doctor about Adderall specifically.
I have never felt an addiction to this medication because I take it responsibly and don’t abuse it.

Vyvanse: An Overview of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) | Medicine bank
Hi Welcome to our youtube channel medicine bank. We are team of medical professionals we made videos about medicines to spread knowledge among peoples.
About this video- Lisdexamfetamine, sold under the brand name Vyvanse among others, is a medication that is a derivative of amphetamine. It is mainly used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in people over the age of five as well as moderate-to-severe binge eating disorder in adults. Lisdexamfetamine is taken by mouth.
By treating children with ADHD with neurofeedback, we can train the brain to fight off the effects of ADHD in a manner that is not reliant upon medication. Discover more about neurofeedback at k
The Drake Institute is one of a handful of medical institutes that are extremely successful at treating neurological disorders through Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback.
For 30 years the Drake Institute has made neurofeedback and biofeedback the centerpiece of its treatment programs. It gives us a method to access brain functioning without any negative side effects and restore normalcy, thereby reducing or eliminating symptoms. It is not an "add on" to other therapies or medications in the Institute's treatment programs. . It is the central treatment though we may provide adjunctive counseling or treatment of learning disorders secondarily. Because it has been the central treatment for our patients for 30 years, it has enabled the Drake Institute to develop leading edge knowledge and clinical experience in its applications for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and stress related disorders or diseases. All of these disorders have one thing in common : at their core is irregular brain function.
There is a learning curve in developing clinical expertise in utilizing neurofeedback and biofeedback for many different disorders. Very simply, the more patients you help, then the more clinical experience and expertise the clinicians acquire. The treatment programs at the Drake Institute have gone through many evolutions of development during the last 30 years as the Institute benefited from its relationships with other leading professionals in the world who helped pioneer this technology.
The Institute has continously acquired new "state of the art" technology and integrated it into it's treatment procedures. Being a medical facility enabled the Drake Institute to develop the applications of this technology through a medical practice. Having treated more than 11,000 patients has produced a level of knowledge and clinical competency that could not have been acquired in any other way.
In addition at the Drake Institute we feel that qEEG brain mapping is essential in being able to provide optimal neurofeedback treatment. The only exception has been in a younger Autistic child whom obtaining an accurate brain map on is rarely not possible. Brain mapping is preferably done "in house" as opposed to having an outside service come in and do it. It has been an enormous asset that Drake's patients' qEEG brainmaps are done by the clinic itself and interpreted by Drake's doctors for developing the neurofeedback protocols. We feel this is far superior than if an outside service provided this without the benefit of Drake's enormous clinical data base.
Another invaluable aspect of the Drake Institute is its extensive clinical experience in treating stress related disorders , including anxiety and depression, with stress biofeedback. Many adult ADHD patients and some adolescent ADHD patients need and benefit from Drake's stress biofeedback treatment in addition to the brain map guided neurofeedback they receive.
It is important to have a physician overseeing a treatment program utilizing neurofeedback/biofeedback when there are patients taking medications. Medical case care is the most comprehensive view of the patient and at Drake, we understand the relationship between neurofeedback care and drug reduction. This is necessary as medications may need to be titrated down as the patient improves with neurofeedback. Having a physician directing the neurofeedback treatments and medication monitoring simultaneously with an understanding of the interaction between the two is preferable to having an outside physician monitoring medication who doesn't understand the neurofeedback treatment.
Lastly, since 70% of ADHD patients have secondary learning disorders, the Drake Institute developed FullCare in order to provide comprehensive treatment for all of the patients' needs not just their ADHD symptoms. Once the attention problems are helped, it is essential to improve or resolve the secondary learning or processing disorders. Otherwise, the patients will never develop to their full capacities to meet life's challenges.

Vyvanse vs. Adderall. Top NYC Psychiatrist Dr Edward Fruitman, M.D. from Trifecta Health ( shares his opinion on this matter. Both amphetamine-based stimulants are used for ADD/ADHD in order to improve attention and concentration for those affected by the disorder. The difference, however, comes from how they are formulated and how they are taken.
Adderall, is more flexible as it can be taken multiple times during the day, depending on the individual’s needs. Vyvanse, on the other hand, is commonly taken once a day. Furthermore, adderall has an immediate release; which can produce a “peak effect” which can be undesirable for those who do not want to feel “over-stimulated”. Whereas, Vyvanse will not produce this “peak effect” as it its release is extended and produces consistent and balanced stimulation throughout the entire day. Furthermore, Vyvanse cannot be broken up or snorted; therefore one must swallow it whole which cuts down on the risk of over-use or abuse.

This medication is very popular in the USA, and is typically prescribed to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Since it acts as a nervous system stimulant, it has been widely abused and is a cause of addiction. Due to this, it’s highly controlled, and can only be bought with a prescription.
However, several teenagers take these pills illegally, as a way to improve their physical and mental productivity.
Also known as the “Good-Grade Pill”, Adderall has become popular among students since it increases brain activity, leaves you feeling more alert, and helps you concentrate for longer.
Although its benefits do seem very desirable, Adderall’s list of side-effects is long, and includes increased probability of diseases such as schizophrenia.
The largest risk associated to Adderall is addiction, which requires a rehabilitation process very similar to the ones used to treat addictions to other drugs.
There are also risks related to vital organs such as your heart, due to its stimulating effect.
As you can see, the unnecessary use of this medication comes with several health risks, which end up cancelling out the benefits.
So, we gathered 4 natural alternatives that can help you increase your focus, concentration, and even calm your nerves.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
Working memory is often referred to as an active mental workspace. It's a cognitive system that allows us to hold and manipulate information online for a few seconds during problem-solving or other cognitive activities. And it's his internal representation in working memory that we use to guide our decision-making, so that behaviour and actions are not dominated by immediate
sensory cues in the environment. By contrast, long-term memory is often referred to as a filing system for a more stable or longer-term storage of information. And typically cues in the environment or in working memory trigger the need to rapidly retrieve information from long-term memory and bring it into working memory along with other types of information.
Conversely, information in working memory may be reorganized and encoded back into long-term memory. Here's what might happen when a teacher gives instructions out of order and they are interrupted:
"Okay students. Take a look at your math worksheet. Note there are addition and subtraction questions. Make sure you don't use the wrong sign and remember I want to see how you solve the problems". "Children in a band, please note that band practice will be in a gym at 12 noon". "Oh and before you start, remember to put your name and the date on the top of your worksheet". This is an illustration of working memory in a typically developing child. As the first instruction is given the student retrieves relevant information from long-term memory to hold online in working memory. Now the student interprets and generates internal representation of the teachers rather complex instructions and holds those online. With the PA announcement the student extracts critical information and stores it in long-term memory for later use and protects the existing information in working memory from interference.
This is an illustration of working memory in a student with ADHD. First it's important to remember that the student with ADHD may have a smaller working memory capacity to begin with. First, the student's effective response to the history of repeated difficulties with math takes up valuable space in working memory. His slower processing speed impedes the translation of complex instruction, so he tries to hold them on line verbatim. But the PA announcement has tipped the scales. He's on cognitive overload. Unable to block this irrelevant information which triggers retrieval of other information - where's my drum? - and relevant information is lost from working memory. Moreover, there's no room for those final instructions about details about name and date. So he is left with the Gestalt of the task - no details - with irrelevant information online that could disturb his performance.

Although Adderall may have some positive effects, the side-effects are long and include increased risk of schizophrenia.
