ADHD Aha! | ADHD and hormones (Catie’s chronicle)

Catie Osborn’s ADHD flew below the radar till she needed to salvage an ovary eliminated in her slow 20s. Left with one ovary ( “Han Solo-vary”), she skilled a hormone shift that made her ADHD symptoms mighty extra noticeable.

Catie is a dilapidated “proficient kid” who excelled in college. Increasing up, she didn’t fit ADHD stereotypes, with the exception of being a cramped messy. Once she changed into diagnosed, she started seeing ADHD flags in every single plot. Hear what she’s realized from her ride and her work, love how hormones — in particular in people that salvage sessions — can impact ADHD symptoms.

ADHD Aha! | ADHD and hormones (Catie’s story)

Optimize & Control Your Brain Chemistry to Improve Health & Performance | Huberman Lab Podcast #80

In this episode, I explain the biological roles of the four major neuromodulators—dopamine, epinephrine (aka adrenaline), serotonin, and acetylcholine—and describe how these neuromodulators impact a wide variety of mental states and behaviors, including focus, creativity, motivation, drive, learning, alertness, mood, relationships, and feelings of well-being.
