Or, developing a humor-stuffed documentary on a controversial psychological health diagnosis, despite now no longer being a doctor and never having made a documentary.

And then there are the much less ‘lifestyles-altering’, nevertheless to me, equally memorable moments of spontaneity. Here is the legend of one act of impulsivity that turned out better than I might possibly dangle imagined. A lesson in seizing alternatives, nevertheless furthermore being appealing to perform them happen.

It was always me misplacing the tape measure. I found a solution eventually, or rather I have accumulated one over the years.

When I realized that I could not ‘pay attention’, ‘pause and think’ or be mindful if I kept misplacing a TING, I had to stop. The solution was to have more than one.

This does not apply to all cases. I only have one table saw. This works well for me for small items that are easily lost.

To be clear, ADHD is NOT a legitimate disorder. I'm not suggesting that we should avoid treatment. I'm on Vyvanse and believe in multimodal treatment to help us overcome our challenges and find our strengths.

7 GREAT Reasons to Procrastinate

featured image

Prone to Procrastination? It’s decided that I will do it tomorrow. Then I put it off yet again. And so on. Procrastinating can be frustrating, costly, and disheartening. Why do I keep doing it? Why do you put off doing it?

There are many reasons. There are many reasons why I procrastinate. I have learned to distinguish between the reasons I don’t take on certain tasks or decisions. This has nothing to do wit failure, laziness or lack of willpower. “

Patreon –
Website – /

Are there good reasons to procrastinate?

I sometimes know that there are many reasons to procrastinate, fear of failure, or fear of success. If I do a great work, then everyone will expect me to do great work, or perfection. You can lose trust in yourself, end relationships and get fired if you procrastinate.

You also have to consider the long-term cost in terms of self-esteem and self-confidence. There are also the potential financial setbacks. I’m referring to the career and financial setbacks. These can be as simple as late fees or fines for not paying the required amount or you need to pay more. However, there may be valid reasons to procrastinate in certain circumstances. Let me simply say that procrastinating is a way to not do what you want, need, or desire to do. Yes.

I think you know what you are thinking. Keep reading. To determine if your procrastination is for a good, rational, logical, or unavoidable reason, you need to identify the reason. If it is logically sensible, unavoidable or logical, then you can let it slide and use that energy to beat someone. Okay, I was going to put it off, but everything is fine.

Reason #1 for Procrastinating – Waiting on something you don’t have
The first reason you procrastinate is because you are waiting on someone or something.

Reason #2 to Procrastinate: Doubts about a Person Involved
You are starting to doubt the person or people you are involved with.

Perhaps it’s a new couple and they love bomb you. It’s one thing for someone to say that after six months of being with you, but what about on their second date? If you are just standing in line at a donut shop, and the person behind you says that, you know? Except they are really good donuts (which I know I would), then that’s someone you would. I am married, but

Reason #3: Procrastinate because you need different skills or knowledge

You might need a degree or the right skills, tools and knowledge to fix the lightbulb in your oven.

Reason #4: You’re No Longer Committed

It’s exciting to ride on a SeaDoo, and you know how it feels. I’m going to start a SeaDoo business, and we’ll rent them all out! You know what happens next? The summer is over and you see an ad for charity that could help children for a decade.

Reason #5 to Procrastinate: Too Much Mental Effort
You’re exhausted because the task is too difficult.

Why is Moving so Stressful?

Why do I find moving so stressful? There are many reasons why I find moving so stressful. Deadlines, cost and notifying everyone are all factors. We’ve been there before. We actually spent five Christmases in one house at one time. Renting is fun, isn’t?

How Did I Get TOO Much Stuff?

featured image

Do I have a hoarding disorder? I have closets crammed full of stuff. Stacks of 5 or 6 boxes. Every surface piled with more stuff!

Moving to a much smaller house has created a crisis of clutter for us. Not just personal stuff. Hundreds of video tapes and scripts from television series. Paperwork. Memorabilia We’re living in a rummage sale!

Before sorting through a box to decide what to keep, I have to clear a flat surface. But where do I put that stuff? Then I need find a place for the ‘keepers.’

It’s been confronting. Emotional. And difficult. And I’m starting to wonder do I have a Hoarding Disorder?!

3 Secrets to Stop Procrastinating

featured image

Why do I accomplish some of my To-Dos, but delay, avoid, dread, and procrastinate over others? I always assumed the problem was me. Turns out it wasn’t.

It was frustrating. I’d put off the urgent, important, or meaningful tasks, unable to buckle down and start, until the day ran out. Then I’d vow, ‘I’ll get to it tomorrow… First thing… Or one of the first… Or…’

I couldn’t understand why I’d avoid simple jobs and manage to do other tasks quickly and easily. Even gladly!

Then I learned some simple reasons that instantly explained why I kept putting off some tasks and easily tackled others. Turns out, they were not all tasks. They were not all simple To-Dos. They were much more than that, a sequential stream of tasks. Understanding these distinctions made a big difference for me. I suspect it will for you as well.

Is it too late to learn?

featured image

Is it too late for me to learn new things, develop new skills, master new hobbies or sports?
According to brain research, you can learn new skills and abilities at any age, contrary to the old belief that “you can’t teach an older dog new tricks”.

The bad news is that you can’t get any younger. You can slow down, reverse, or even reverse brain aging.
It’s not magic. Mental muscle is built in the same way as your triceps and biceps. Reps!

05: Statistics Source: Weizmann Institute of Science, “Cell Replacement by The Numbers” –

Hi, I’m Rick Green. I would like to know how I can keep my brain young. Is it possible to keep my brain young and have a solid memory? Is it possible to reverse the brain’s aging process? It’s never too late for me to learn new things, but how can I prove that?

This is something I have been interested in and working on since 20,, trying to keep my mind sharp and healthy. It’s too late for me, but I will be able to keep my mind sharp and active so that I can figure out why my body is acting strangely.

Joking aside, I am actually in better physical condition now than I was 20 many years ago. That’s kind of sad. Scientists, or, as they were called back then, “alchemist wizards”, believed that the brain develops through childhood and into teens. Then, at about 25, things lock in place.

You might be able to learn new facts or hone a skill from childhood, but the house was built. The best thing you could do for it was preventative maintenance. Your house will be in disarray faster than Dorothy’s farmhouse from the Wizard of OZ by 60.

This idea that a 50, 60,, or even 70year old brain could grow new neural networks and rewire itself was ridiculed at the time, especially when you speak to many old people. Scientists who believed that middle-aged brains could grow, develop, learn and improve were called witches, and burnt at the stake. This is a possible error. I should have started the process earlier, when I had all the facts.

Someone asked a deep question that ended up being: “Well gee, my Aunt Helen never played golf in her entire life, but she did when she was 55, and now she’s beating my Uncle Jack’s pants off, what’s the deal?” Short answer: Uncle Jack needs a belt to fit those pants.

Learning after a stroke
Personal examples are next. Dr Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain scientist who suffered a stroke that left her unable to speak and lost her logic and mobility, was the most notable and dramatic example.

Amazingly, half of her brain was destroyed and the other half commandeered and rewired itself in order to pick up the pieces. It is a wonderful read, My Stroke of Insight. Eight years was required to rewire Dr Bolte Taylor’s brain. Massive rewiring takes a long time. You’re familiar with what I mean if you have ever been asked questions by a toddler.

Scientists now know that the brain of humans continues to grow and create new neuralpathways as long as we continue to learn new things and develop new skills. Jerzy Konorski, a Polish neurologist, called it Neuroplasticity. Our brains are flexible. A lot of research is being done on the brain’s ability heal, transform, and grow. Are You Dumb?

featured image

For a good part of my life I thought I was dumb. That was actually the worst part of my life. While my siblings were able to earn honors, I struggled at school. Is that what they call it? I can’t recall. Naturally, I assumed that the problem was me. As do many researchers and educators, I now realize that brainpower is not the problem for many students and adults. It’s how your brain learns best.

When I buy something that has a lot of instructions written on it, I get overwhelmed. Instead, I prefer to read a few words with lots of illustrations. (Thank you, Ikea! )

I want something ,

What if the world doesn't accept me?
What is it that makes you happy?

Heaven knows you're lost;
But you'll still be fine.
Heaven knows that we are lost ;
But the sun still shines, it's okay.
