Are you one of those that think ADHD is fake and an excuse? There’s more to it than you know, especially if you’re not a psychologist or if you base your opinions on stubborn, traditionalist bandwagon thinking. Not everyone with ADHD is out to cause trouble, and many are good people with good intentions who suffer very real, troublesome symptoms that interfere with their ability to function in the world – but it’s only an excuse when said person intentionally uses it as an excuse to absolve themselves of all responsibility to improve matters for themselves.
Anxiety is defined as “a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome” and in psychology, also when perceiving a real or imagined threat. Stress is commonly defined as “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension” that people experience when there are negative or emotionally and physically draining circumstances. So what are the physical anxiety symptoms? Here are 6 Things That Happen to Your Body When You Experience Anxiety.

Please note I am not a medical professional.
My advice comes from first-hand experience as an ADHD person myself. Using visual progression tracking and goal prioritisation methods, you can develop a useful strategy to override your weaknesses as a person with ADHD.
Step 1: Get to know yourself (How do you normally get things done?) Step 2: Be Kind to yourself (Be realistic and stop pushing yourself so hard) Step 3: Break down End-Goals into small, easier achievements to avoid overwhelm Step 4: Compare your current position to your past position: Where are you now?
So here is an update finally! I hope you all enjoy it! Below you can find a list of the topics that I touch on.
Does the medication still work for me?
How do I deal with the nausea?
Do I take it every day?
Do I recommend concerta?
Concerta side effects for me now?
How do you get tested for ADHD?
-there are some online evaluations
-but if you would like to gain the benefits of a diagnosis go to a professional. You can visit your local behavior health practice and see a psychiatrist.
How have I been coping with ADHD?
Do I recommend taking medication?
How do I deal with feelings of inadequacy due to my ADHD and learning disability/ dealing with depression?
Getting my diagnosis as an adult and being in the workforce.
Personality changes.
Somethings I found to be helpful with taking my medication.

Today I want to cover how to help reduce anxiety and depression. It has everything to do with your microbiome—your gut bacteria.
The largest number of nerves outside of the brain is in your gut. There is a huge communication line between your gut and your brain. What happens in the gut affects what happens in your brain.
Your gut microbes also make neurotransmitters, like GABA, dopamine, and serotonin. Serotonin can greatly affect your mood. Your gut also makes B vitamins. There is a huge connection between mood disorders and a lack of B vitamins. Also, if you have gut inflammation, that can affect your mood. So, just getting rid of inflammation can help elevate your mood.
Antidepressants can actually inhibit the growth of your friendly bacteria. There are also a lot of side effects that can accompany psychiatric drugs.
90% of serotonin is produced in the gut. SSRIs are antidepressant drugs that affect serotonin.
A few big side effects of SSRIs:
• They decrease the diversity of the microbiome
• They create an alteration in microbes
• They increase inflammation
*These side effects increase the need for SSRIs.
If you have anxiety or depression, you may want to start focusing on your gut.
Try this to help get rid of anxiety and depression:
1. Take a good probiotic
2. Consume fermented vegetables or dairy
3. Do fasting

Vyvanse, the brand-name form of lisdexamfetamine, is a prescription medication used for the treatment of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD. It is also approved for the treatment of moderate to severe Binge Eating Disorder (B.E.D.) in adults. Vyvanse belongs to a group of drugs called central nervous system stimulant medications. These help increase attention, decrease impulsiveness, and decrease hyperactivity in people with ADHD by changing the amounts of certain natural substances in the brain.
This medication comes in capsule form and is taken once daily, in the morning, with or without food.
Common side effects of Vyvanse include decreased appetite, dizziness, irritability, feeling jittery, anxiety, and nausea.

I want them to know that they’re not lazy, unmotivated, and willfully irresponsible. I want them to know they can realize their potential and create the life of their dreams.
A new systematic review and meta-analysis based on 133 double-blind, randomized controlled trials has concluded that methylphenidate is the best first-line medication choice for the treatment of ADHD in kids and teens.
Anxiety does not originate in your thoughts, even though that's the common belief. Feelings of anxiety (as well as anxiety disorders like generalized anxiety disorder) actually manifest in your body. Few know this better than MedCircle Certified Educator Dr. Kristy Lamb, who is double board certified in both psychiatry and family medicine. In this interview, she breaks down the 3 tiers of anxiety in your body & how to spot them.
She also answers:
How do we spot the type of anxiety we're experiencing?
What are the effects of these levels of anxiety on our physical and mental health?
When we're experiencing anxiety, which tier do we focus on coping with first?
What should we actually do when we're experiencing one of these tiers of anxiety?
