Do you avoid activities in which you are the center of attention? And is your worst fear, being humiliated or being made to look inadequate in front of other people? If so, you might have a social anxiety disorder.

What Is Social Anxiety?
Social anxiety disorder is actually quite common and it’s one of the more common psychiatric disorders. In the United States, it has a lifetime prevalence of 5 to 12%. Social anxiety disorder is more common in women than men, but men, most certainly, can get it. And if you are going to get a social anxiety disorder, it usually presents itself in adolescence, usually in the mid-teens, but children as young as five years of age can be diagnosed and even people who are older can be diagnosed, especially if they are in a situation where there are new social activities.

Social Anxiety Disorder Symptoms
Social anxiety disorder, also called social phobia, can be quite debilitating. And here are some of the symptoms.

You Avoid Social Situations
You may have a social anxiety disorder if you avoid social situations. If you worry that you’re going to be embarrassed in front of other people, or if you fear that others will speak negatively of you if they perceive you as being inadequate.
You Interpret Neutral Reactions As Being Negative
For example, if you’re having a conversation with someone, which is quite normal, and they’re reacting to you in a very neutral manner, you may walk away thinking, “Oh, that person doesn’t like me. They think I’m not smart. They think I’m not good enough.” You may interpret something that is more negative than it actually is.
Fast Heart Rate
There are also some physical symptoms associated with social anxiety disorder. They include getting a fast heart rate or even irregular breathing or actually having a tremble or tremulousness.
Often Avoid Making Eye Contact or Speaking
If you are someone who avoids making eye contact or if you often avoid speaking to people you may have social anxiety.
Sweating
You might have a social anxiety disorder if when you are in public or in front of other people, you start sweating, getting a very fast heart rate, blushing or feeling flushed, having some fast or irregular breathing.

Hi, my name is Seb. I’m a former #SocialAnxietyDisorder sufferer, the host of a popular podcast show (Social Anxiety Solutions) and a social confidence coach.

Since 2009, I’ve helped hundreds of #sociallyanxious clients feel #calm, #comfortable and at ease socially.

I’m in (symptomless) self-quarantine due to the #CoronaVirus. And I got inspired by people like the quarantined Italians singing from their balcony. And well, I’ve got a lot of time on my hands now…

Anyway, I decided I could help by creating a free 30 day Social Confidence Challenge for all of you who suffer from #socialanxiety.

Because what a perfect opportunity this is to reduce your social anxiety!

Now the mainstream belief is that the only way to do this is to #ChangeYourThoughts, and force yourself to #FaceYourFears

Since this didn’t work for me (I’ll share more in the challenge) I had to find #AlternativeWays. And eventually, I created a different approach.

My approach builds on the foundation of #traditional #WesternPsychology, but adds a very important component:

Addressing the #EMOTIONAL SIDE of your social anxiety issue.

While I will help you change your mindset, and while facing your fears is included, I go about it in a much #LessStressful, and far more #EffectiveWay.

How?

You face your fears internally. And then you #release them.

For this, we use a #powerful, #scientificallyproven to be #effective #EmotionalReleaseTechnique. Details about the #technique and how to use it to #OvercomeSocialAnxiety are beyond the scope of this brief message.

———————-
This video is a generalized summary to illustrate that social anxiety is a program that your brain runs based upon perception. And that the perception is governed by beliefs. And that these beliefs can be changed. Once you change the beliefs responsible for the perception of danger, social anxiety is gone. There is none. Zero.

Many people have asked me about the ending of this video. “Great, but it’s not that easy! How do you change your beliefs?! You can’t just do that”. And they are right.

A belief is a thought or an idea you’re emotionally connected to, as a result of conditioning and painful life experiences. And just “changing your thoughts” won’t work. Saying to yourself “I am good enough” won’t do that.

Social anxiety isn’t a logical problem. And therefore You need to address things on an emotional level in order to have your beliefs shift completely. Once you do, you can completely overcome your social anxiety. I bet that’s hard to believe for you if you’ve been struggling for a long time (and, pretty everyone has been struggling for a long time) and you’ve tried things. But what if what you tried hasn’t been the right approach for you? Or, what if that’s only been mildly helpful, and there are ways that are far more effective?

Until I found EFT – a silly-looking technique to rapidly release excessive negative emotions (you know, the shame, insecurity, worthlessness, fear, anxiety etc that we struggle with so much). That was the technique that made the difference. It has then been a long path of trying to figure out how to apply that technique to overcome my social anxiety because mine was complex and severe. But thanks to the help of EFT tapping and some brilliant therapist I’ve now been anxiety-free for years.

I also have video testimonials of former clients who overcame their social anxiety. They’ve become so at ease with themselves, and they don’t care anymore what others think that they’re willing to share.

There’s really a way out of it. Don’t give up, suspend your disbelief, break your skepticism by giving this a try.

Social anxiety disorder, or social phobia, is an intense fear of being judged, negatively evaluated, or rejected in a social or performance situation. In this video I share 7 techniques that will help you overcome social anxiety and stop isolating and avoiding social engagements.

It’s reported that 12% of the population shares this challenge of feeling socially anxious. If you have experienced social anxiety, you know this can be debilitating, but it does not have to hold you back in life.

Would you believe that I, also, have had social anxiety for as long as I can remember? In this video I will share with you the very same techniques I practice to fight against social anxiety so that it does not prevent me from living my best life, meeting new people and making strong emotional connections with people I love.

A popular prescription drug used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is increasingly ending up in the wrong hands. New data show more people are abusing Adderall across the country and in Hennepin County.

In fact, experts say only alcohol and marijuana are abused more than prescription pills such as Adderall. Many of the abusers are in high school.

"I didn't start really noticing until I was about 15-years-old that I was addicted," said Steve, who didn't want his last name known.

Steve was 8 years old when he was given a prescription for Adderall to treat ADHD.

"It made me very attentive, made me very alert, everything was vivid, more clearer."

But Steve's addiction almost killed him. He overdosed on the medicine that was supposed to help him.

"I had gotten so addicted to them, 30 pills in one day wasn't enough."

Brian Aulwes, prevention specialist with the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge, often goes out to local schools to talk about the dangers of Adderall abuse. He has firsthand knowledge.

"I think the first time I took Adderall and abused it, I was 14 years old," said Aulwes.

He didn't have a prescription, but that didn't stop him from popping pills. Aulwes said he got the drug from a friend.

"He stole a prescription from his mom."

Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge surveyed nearly 500 students at four West Metro schools. Sixteen percent of respondents said they've abused prescripton pills.

"One of the larger populations of people who abuse Adderall are your academics all stars at a school, " said Adam Pederson, also a prevention specialist with Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge.

Adderall is sometimes called the "study drug" or "smart pill" because it can help students focus better and stay up for hours, cramming for tests. The pills are also popular because they are easy to get.

Steve said he had no problem getting what he needed, when he needed it.

"It wasn't anything to get them. Doc—these are not doing it, can you up the dose? It was just as simple as that," he said.

But students are not the only ones abusing Adderall. Authorities said it has become a big problem in Hennepin County.

"In 2012 we saw about 15 or so individual cases where Adderall, the prescription drug, turned up in illegal circumstances. which is different from what we've seen in the past," said Hennepin County Sheriff Rick Stanek.

There are a number of side effects to Adderall abuse, includng elevated blood pressure and kidney failure. But the biggest possible side effect is overdosing, which could lead to cardiac arrest, or even death.

Those who've abused Adderall say the lingering effects of the drug can be felt for years.

"Drugs, especially prescription pills, it's just something I can't do, I still can't do it. To this day I won't even take Advil because of what happened to me when I was younger." said Steve.

#socialanxietydisorder #drfrita #socialanxiety

Sweating

You'll Never See Social Anxiety The Same After Watching This |🔥

featured image
