Information about ADD and ADHD - Symptoms

featured image

Jef Gazley explains what are the symptoms for ADD and ADHD that are rarely recognized. To show how ADHD or ADD affects certain parts of the brain, he uses SPECT Scans. You can find out more about this video at.

https://medbusiness.net/information-about-add-and-adhd-symptoms/

Hi, my name is Seb. I’m a former #SocialAnxietyDisorder sufferer, the host of a popular podcast show (Social Anxiety Solutions) and a social confidence coach.

Since 2009, I’ve helped hundreds of #sociallyanxious clients feel #calm, #comfortable and at ease socially.

I’m in (symptomless) self-quarantine due to the #CoronaVirus. And I got inspired by people like the quarantined Italians singing from their balcony. And well, I’ve got a lot of time on my hands now…

Anyway, I decided I could help by creating a free 30 day Social Confidence Challenge for all of you who suffer from #socialanxiety.

Because what a perfect opportunity this is to reduce your social anxiety!

Now the mainstream belief is that the only way to do this is to #ChangeYourThoughts, and force yourself to #FaceYourFears

Since this didn’t work for me (I’ll share more in the challenge) I had to find #AlternativeWays. And eventually, I created a different approach.

My approach builds on the foundation of #traditional #WesternPsychology, but adds a very important component:

Addressing the #EMOTIONAL SIDE of your social anxiety issue.

While I will help you change your mindset, and while facing your fears is included, I go about it in a much #LessStressful, and far more #EffectiveWay.

How?

You face your fears internally. And then you #release them.

For this, we use a #powerful, #scientificallyproven to be #effective #EmotionalReleaseTechnique. Details about the #technique and how to use it to #OvercomeSocialAnxiety are beyond the scope of this brief message.

----------------------
This video is a generalized summary to illustrate that social anxiety is a program that your brain runs based upon perception. And that the perception is governed by beliefs. And that these beliefs can be changed. Once you change the beliefs responsible for the perception of danger, social anxiety is gone. There is none. Zero.

Many people have asked me about the ending of this video. "Great, but it's not that easy! How do you change your beliefs?! You can't just do that". And they are right.

A belief is a thought or an idea you're emotionally connected to, as a result of conditioning and painful life experiences. And just "changing your thoughts" won't work. Saying to yourself "I am good enough" won't do that.

Social anxiety isn't a logical problem. And therefore You need to address things on an emotional level in order to have your beliefs shift completely. Once you do, you can completely overcome your social anxiety. I bet that's hard to believe for you if you've been struggling for a long time (and, pretty everyone has been struggling for a long time) and you've tried things. But what if what you tried hasn't been the right approach for you? Or, what if that's only been mildly helpful, and there are ways that are far more effective?

Until I found EFT - a silly-looking technique to rapidly release excessive negative emotions (you know, the shame, insecurity, worthlessness, fear, anxiety etc that we struggle with so much). That was the technique that made the difference. It has then been a long path of trying to figure out how to apply that technique to overcome my social anxiety because mine was complex and severe. But thanks to the help of EFT tapping and some brilliant therapist I've now been anxiety-free for years.

I also have video testimonials of former clients who overcame their social anxiety. They've become so at ease with themselves, and they don't care anymore what others think that they're willing to share.

There's really a way out of it. Don't give up, suspend your disbelief, break your skepticism by giving this a try.

I am a meditation teacher with ADHD. I discovered quickly that meditation styles that don't work for me and don't address my ADHD root cause didn’t work.

Similar findings were made by me. Many psychological approaches to ADHD focus primarily on managing symptoms and do not address the root causes.

After much trial and error, I finally found a method that works. My ADHD symptoms have dramatically decreased since I experienced it myself.

This video and a guided meditation that you can download are both my creations. They will help you understand the true causes of ADHD.

Yes, there is a method of meditation that works for ADHD and ADD. For those suffering from ADHD/ADD, meditation is often recommended. If it is a concentration-style practice, meditation can be a torture.

Fear not! Mindfulness or Vipassana-style mindfulness practices can provide relief from ADHD's restlessness, particularly if they focus on developing clarity and equanimity in dealing with the underlying restlessness.

This video explains the best practices for ADHD and ADD. I keep writing both, because not everyone with hyperactivity has it.

This would be a great natural treatment option for ADHD. Hope you enjoy!

http://adhdinadults.com/ Learn about the effects of adult ADHD on individuals and society from Dr. Stephen Faraone, a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at SUNY. He explains in this video how ADHD can impact patients' personal and professional lives. Faraone is aware of the positive effects ADHD treatment and diagnosis can have on his patients. He hopes to educate healthcare professionals about the disorder, especially primary care physicians who treat adults.

Faraone believes that adult ADHD is not always considered a severe disorder. This is because primary care doctors and other professionals aren't trained to recognize it. The impact ADHD can have upon an undiagnosed patient can be dramatic. This includes adverse outcomes such as comorbid conditions and social disorders. ADHD symptoms are often overlooked even when they are recognized as a diagnosis for other disorders.

As the video shows, studies have shown that adult ADHD can lead to workplace problems such as occupational failure and underperformance. Faraone also points out the effects of adult ADHD on the outside of the workplace. Patients with attention deficit disorder who are not treated are more at risk for traffic accidents that could cause injury and have a greater likelihood of having problems in their personal relationships. ADHD adults are at greater risk of conflict in their families and more likely to end up divorcing.

ADHD is a chronic disorder that causes impairments to accumulate over time, causing turmoil in the patient's daily life. This video explores the economic consequences of ADHD in adulthood.

Faraone advocates for ADHD diagnosis and treatment in adults. Faraone concludes the video encouraging healthcare professionals to educate themselves about the disorder and the available treatments. The link above will take you to more information about The Adult ADHD Project. Our website with

Clinical Depression Linked to Back Pain

featured image

If you suffer from chronic back pain, doctors say you are at the greater risk of developing clinical depression. According to spinehealth.com, 85% with chronic back pain are more likely to develop symptoms of depression.

These symptoms can include sleep disturbances, anxiety, fear of death, and loss of interest. Andrew Block, from The Texas back institute, spoke out about the link between depression, chronic back pain and anxiety. He said that it is harder to spot a sing than you might think. There are many signs that depression and chronic pain share many of the same symptoms. They feed off each other.

Dr Michael Van Korff, the associate director at the Centre for Health Studies in Seattle’s Group Help Cooperative, has researched the relationship between depression and pain. People with depression and pain have shown that depression can be relieved by reducing pain.

Chronic pain can lead to depressions that are more likely to persist. Dr Korff states that many aspects of the study are still being done.

We now want to hear your thoughts. Please comment below the video to join the discussion.

Vyvanse: Adderall XR

featured image

Dr Mark Faber talks about the stimulant Vyvance and Adderall XP

https://brain-therapy.com/vyvanse-adderall-xr/

Adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a mental health disorder that includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior. Adult ADHD can lead to unstable relationships, poor work or school performance, low self-esteem, and other problems.

Though it's called adult ADHD, symptoms start in early childhood and continue into adulthood. In some cases, ADHD is not recognized or diagnosed until the person is an adult. Adult ADHD symptoms may not be as clear as ADHD symptoms in children. In adults, hyperactivity may decrease, but struggles with impulsiveness, restlessness and difficulty paying attention may continue.

Treatment for adult ADHD is similar to treatment for childhood ADHD. Adult ADHD treatment includes medications, psychological counseling (psychotherapy) and treatment for any mental health conditions that occur along with ADHD.

Some people with ADHD have fewer symptoms as they age, but some adults continue to have major symptoms that interfere with daily functioning. In adults, the main features of ADHD may include difficulty paying attention, impulsiveness and restlessness. Symptoms can range from mild to severe.

Many adults with ADHD aren't aware they have it — they just know that everyday tasks can be a challenge. Adults with ADHD may find it difficult to focus and prioritize, leading to missed deadlines and forgotten meetings or social plans. The inability to control impulses can range from impatience waiting in line or driving in traffic to mood swings and outbursts of anger.

Adult ADHD symptoms may include:

Impulsiveness
Disorganization and problems prioritizing
Poor time management skills
Problems focusing on a task
Trouble multitasking
Excessive activity or restlessness
Poor planning
Low frustration tolerance
Frequent mood swings
Problems following through and completing tasks
Hot temper
Trouble coping with stress

How to tell your doctor the diagnosis is wrong

featured image

It’s no secret that people get information from the Internet. So you don’t need to tiptoe around this issue. But of course, you don’t want to say I think you got the diagnosis wrong. No one wants to start a conversation feeling criticized. The issue with your doctor or therapist is not that you read about a diagnosis, the issue is how you convey the information to your doctor. In this video I discuss how you can do this.
