A lot of well meaning people don’t know the difference between having felt depressed before and suffering from severe clinical depression. This leads to confusion and hurt feelings on both sides. in this video we talk about that. Trigger Warning: Suicide and depression talked about.
In this video I highlight the different ways ADHD symptoms tend to express themselves in girls. For a better sense of ADHD in general check out "How to Know if You Have ADHD:" />
To clarify: I am not suggesting that there is a "girl" or a "boy" form of ADHD. Any gender can have the hyperactivity component, and any gender can be primarily inattentive. In this video I talk about what is more common; however, it's important that we learn to recognize both forms in all genders.

Ask Doctors – Get Video Answers in HINDI Subscribe to – to view HINDI videos Depression is caused by three chemicals found in the brain. Depression can be caused by a combination of dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine. Any one of these transmitters is less common in the brain. Depression is a feeling that you feel sad. Depression is a state of mind that the mind cannot see any light. Dopamine is the first to be mentioned. Dopamine means that if you do this, you will receive a reward. It is a good feeling that rewards you for doing something. This is when the brain can get a short-term pleasure from something. How long can you enjoy a process if you go home today and are rejoicing about it? If you fail in your class for many years, the person will not forget that day. Norepinephrine helps me get rid of anxiety, sadness, or when I don’t want to do anything. This is when depression sufferers stop eating, taking a bath and leaving their home. This makes it difficult to do any type of activity. The pleasures of life are governed by serotonin. The sexual aspect, the need for food, sleep, and the essential functions of maintaining your body’s health. The evidence for each element was becoming more and more contradictory as the research progressed. One study found that depression is caused by a lack of any one of these elements. The second research says you don’t have enough hormones but your mood is depressing. It is difficult to determine the amount of hormones in your body. There is no way to know. We only get the patient if the patient says they are not happy. Please examine the reasons you’re not feeling happy. If you go to the doctor and tell them you have clinical depression, your brain is responsible for my mood. This trigger comes from something dark, sad, rejection, or failure. People ride this wave of clinical depression and feel helpless. But there are medications available. Dr. Edward Batch covers a group of homeopathy remedies known as the batch flower remedy. This is a collection of 38 remedies that are made from plants. They are effective in treating depression. Talk to a homeopath. This will help. There are many medications that are very effective and non-addictive.

Narcissism is not a diagnosis. It is a psychological concept that helps to explain or define human behavior. It is defined as the love of oneself.
Named after the mythological Greek character Narcissus, Narcissus was a handsome hunter, who fell in love in a pool filled with water with his reflection. He leaned down to kiss his reflection but couldn’t see its face so he stared at it until he was thirsty.
Narcissism, as we know it today, in its simplest form is neither good or bad. It can be either healthy or pathological. Healthy narcissism refers to the ability to enjoy yourself and your achievements. Healthy narcissism can be developed in childhood if you have parents who are open to your opinions and allow you to express your vulnerabilities in a safe environment.
In essence, you are supposed to love your self. You can take on any job that you don’t like and still have the strength to love yourself. Although the arrows might make you feel unhappy at work or superficially, you can still be happy inside because your core allows you to enjoy life.
You have the ability to leave your job at the conclusion of the day and move on to something that will make you happy and repair your damaged outer skin.
Pathological narcissism is a tendency to over-value your self and do things only for yourself, often at the expense of others. This can be seen as the need to take advantage of others to feel a gain. If you tear down people to feel better, then you see someone else’s win as a loss.

1: 26 Reasons for Social Anxiety Disorder
2: 29 Signs and symptoms of social anxiety disorder
3: 23 Treatment of Social Anxiety Disorder
4: 05 Treatment for Social Anxiety Disorder
Social anxiety disorder (SAD) is also known as socialphobia. It causes anxiety and fear in social situations. This can lead to significant distress and impairment in daily living. [2] 15 Fears can be triggered either by actual or perceived scrutiny from others. Social anxiety disorder sufferers fear being judged negatively by others.
Excessive blushing, excessive sweating, trembling and palpitations are all common physical symptoms. Rapid speech and possibly some Stammering could be signs. Panic attacks can also be caused by extreme fear or discomfort. To reduce their fear and inhibitions during social events, some sufferers might resort to alcohol or other drugs. Social phobia sufferers may self-medicate by using alcohol or other drugs, particularly if they are not diagnosed or treated. This can lead to an eating disorder, alcohol abuse disorder, or any other type of substance use disorder. SAD can sometimes be called an illness of lost chances, where individuals make major life decisions to address their illness. [3][4] According to ICD-10 guidelines, the main diagnostic criteria of social phobia are fear of being the focus of attention, or fear of behaving in a way that will be embarrassing or humiliating, avoidance and anxiety symptoms. [5] Standardized rating scales are available to screen for anxiety disorders and assess the severity of anxiety.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the first line of treatment for social anxious disorder. Social phobia can be treated with SSRIs, particularly paroxetine. This disorder can be treated with CBT, either in an individual or group setting. [8] Cognitive and behavioral components aim to alter thought patterns and physical reactions in anxiety-inducing situations. With the marketing and approval of medications for treatment, social anxiety disorder has received a lot more attention than 1999. Prescribed medications include several classes of antidepressants: selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Beta blockers and benzodiazepines are also common medications.
There is a difference between having the blues and having clinical depression. Teresita Calero is a Psychotherapist at Baptist Health Care and Counseling. She explains that the blues are more like experiencing a transition after losing someone or something important to you.
She believes that the blues are more situational and will go away, but clinical depression refers to the person’s mood becoming affected and their inability to connect.
Martin Lopez, a Psychotherapist at the same institution, says that the blues can lead depression. However, it will usually stop after a period of time and things will get better.
DEXAMPHETAMINE and METHYLPHENIDATE are medications used to treat Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Dr Rege, Consultant Psychoiatrist, explains the differences. #adhd #adderall #ritalin #vyvanse #dexamphetamine #methylphenidate #amfetamine
Methylphenidate (MPH) Mechanism of Action: Non-competitively, Methylphenidate blocks the reuptake dopamine/noradrenaline into terminals by blocking dopamine transporter and noradrenalinetransporter (NAT). This increases levels of dopamine/noradrenaline within the synaptic cortex.
Amphetamine can be classified as a d and l-isomer. The active isomer is the d-isomer. Mechanisms of Action : 1. Competing with noradrenaline and dopamine at NAT, competitive inhibitor at DAT 2. VMAT Competitive inhibitor3. Reversal of DAT.

Lyrics:
I've been up 3 days
Adderall and Red Bull
Adderall and Red Bull
That's the recipe
It's rebbin' out there
Studyin' for finals right now
I know you got it
See you on the other side
Right now
You can't do better...
Baby, you the best
Baby, you the best
And I want you to think of me
When you takin' all your tests, yeah
I'm here to ease your mind
And ease your stress
And I got another freestyle
Like to get it off my chest, yeah.
I can get the beat
And then I hold ya
And I got my number two pencil
That Fort Ticonderoga
And you hear it, yeah
That's in my voice
I got that ABCD
That's that multiple choice
'Cause I go in
And sayin'
What that girl
While I'm dressing
I've been doin'
And flyin' middle fingers
To my professor
I flow it, it's harder
You seek it when it's scary
And I see you all screamin'
In your fuckin' library
You gon' get it, baby
You gon' get it straight
You gon' stare this test
In the face and dominate
I believe, yeah
So when it's all over, party
Yeah, know your boys goin' hard
I've been up 3 days
Adderall and Red Bull
I feel so pathetic
But you still haven't heard it all
I've been up 3 days
Adderall and Red Bull
I feel so pathetic
Baby, I'm the best so you can't do better
Don't study hate, study love
Get up off those study drugs
Get up off your couch
And do something that you really love
And if it's testin'
Man, you arrestin'
Development is lookin'
Like another conquestin'
Say that it's the beat, yeah
Say that you can got it
Say that mother fucker
You ain't gotta go and drop it
But everything is gonna be alright, yeah
'Cause you know after these tests
We gon' party all night
Lookin' for the square, yeah
Lookin' for the reason
And look over at that other test
I see you do you cheatin'
But it's alright, gettin'
Know that when you said so
Yeah, and you can hold it with this pencil
Tappin' on the desk
Like damn I hope I pass
I prolly should have gone
To that mother fuckin' class
But I never did from the start
Yeah, best luck
So now I'm up all night
Readin' the textbook
I've been up 3 days
Adderall and Red Bull
I feel so pathetic
(Don't feel so pathetic)
But you still haven't heard it all
I've been up 3 days
Adderall and Red Bull
I feel so pathetic
Baby, I'm the best so you can't do better
Baby, I'm the best...
Baby, you the best, yeah
Baby, you the best
Everything's gonna be alright
It's alright, yeah
Make records
That we record on the vinyl, yeah
I see you do this shit
You dominatin' finals, but
I get this shit 'cause
It's up to you, yeah
This is for Timeflies
This is what we're here to do
Yeah, uh.
See you for New Years
Get with this
See you over Christmas
The break is soon

Psychiatrist Phil Borders addresses a few questions about ADHD: What’s the difference between Meth and ADHD medication? Does ADHD have an effect on my IQ? Is there a correlation between #ADHD and #substanceabuse?
Most disorders both mental and physical are managed and not cured. In medicine we think of cure as a total reversal of an illness to the point where there's no evidence of it and it does not return. the closest we get to this scenario is fixing a broken limb. Or treating a vitamin deficiency by giving a vitamin supplement.
In this video, I discuss the main mental illnesses that tend to come and go over the course of your life over time and talk about how they tend to look over time. These main illnesses are major depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and schizophrenia.
The mood disorders like major depression and bipolar disorder, are recurring illnesses where you have episodes that last a while and then resolve. Some people who can have chronic symptoms, but the classic picture is that you have discrete episodes that resolve and return. You have periods in between with either very few of symptoms or no symptoms. When your symptoms go away we call it a remission. When your symptoms return we call it a relapse. So both depression and bipolar disorder are relapsing and remitting illnesses.
Anxiety disorders tend to behave a little bit differently. Rather than being episodic, they tend to come and go in intensity over time. Kind of like a wave that crests and then recedes. So there can be periods of your life where your anxiety can feel unmanageable and you may seek treatment for it. And then there can be periods of time where it's not that bad. The usual is that you don't become completely free of anxiety. It's just that your symptoms are manageable.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder tends to act a little differently from anxiety over the course of your life. Generally, symptoms can improve or nearly resolve once you become an adult. But not resolve to the point of being completely absent. Residual ADHD symptoms can look like being a slow reader, or being disorganized and losing things a lot or not being a good listener. There can be little things here and there that don't cause much dysfunction for you. But if you become stressed because you're going through a difficult period in your life, your ADHD symptoms may be more prominent.
Schizophrenia tends to more look more like a series of plateaus. A person can start out with somewhat mild symptoms that don't always look like schizophrenia. And then at some point the symptoms fully manifest. I did a video explaining schizophrenia. I’ll put a link in the description and in the corner of this video so you want to watch that video after this one. But the usual course with schizophrenia is that once the symptoms fully manifest, a person can remain at that level of illness severity for a while and it can be years. And then at some point there is a decline and the symptoms increase. You may get more medication added, but that seems to be your new baseline and this is more the case the cognitive symptoms. So Instead of having a gradual deterioration which some people can have, there's this stepwise downward trend. The good news about this pattern is that the interval between the steps can be very long like years. So someone who develops the disorder at 25 and lives until 75 may only have three or 4 steps downward.

Mad in America provides a thorough overview of the diagnosis of ADHD, the way stimulant medications act on the brain, and provides links to research studies regarding the risks and benefits of the drugs. It can be found here: /
Allen Frances, MD, who chaired the task force for creation of the DSM-IV (the bible of psychiatry), wrote a feature article criticizing the diagnosis of ADHD and the overuse of stimulant medications for HuffPost: 5
Note: This video does not constitute medical advice. Stopping psychiatric drugs, especially abruptly, can be dangerous, as withdrawal effects may be severe, disabling or even life-threatening.
ADHD can be treated by a variety of medications, and the two most common drug classes used for treatment are stimulants and nonstimulants. The main difference between the two is that stimulants stimulate the Central Nervous System (CNS), and nonstimulants do not. Once stimulated, the CNS releases dopamine and adrenaline, prompting multiple reactions in the body, such as increased focus and a faster heart rate.
This video describes the differences between the two drug classes, gives popular examples of each (ie adderall and vyvanse as stimulants and wellbutrin and strattera as a nonstimulants) and describes the differences between the drugs with regard to their chemicals and compounds. But don’t worry – I keep it fast-paced and upbeat, with a bit of humor sprinkled in.
I also answer a few popular questions, such as:
“Why do some medications work well for me, while others don’t?” “Is there a way to find out if a certain drug will work better for me?” “What’s the deal with citric and ascorbic acid (vitamin c)?” “Should I eat before I take my medication?” “How often should I take my medication?”
In current society, people with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) tend to struggle if not suffer. Despite this, rather than a disorder, ADHD should be thought of as a particular neuro-cognitive profile; that is, a characteristic brain format that results in a different way of literally thinking. With so many people diagnosed with ADHD – and so many more undiagnosed — we must ask, where does ADHD come from and is it truly a problem in and of itself?
Salif shares a current hypothesis about ADHD’s root and an alternative perspective – including several benefits of the condition – regarding how we engage with it in our schools, homes and selves.

His research investigates cognitive and neurophysiological outcomes of exposure to, and immersion in, natural environments. Salif loves long walks in the mountains, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and planning his future homestead. Most of all, he loves having no idea whatsoever as to how to parent his two-year-old son, but trying anyway.

Narcissism is not a diagnosis. It’s a psychological concept that helps explain or define human behavior. It’s defined as love of the self.
The name comes from the Greek mythological character, Narcissus. Narcissus was a handsome hunter who fell in love with his reflection in a pool of water. When he leaned down to kiss his reflection, he couldn’t see the face, so he continued to stare at the reflection until he died of thirst.
In its most basic form, narcissism as we use the term today, is neither good nor bad. It’s on a spectrum of healthy to pathological. Healthy narcissism is the ability to take pleasure in yourself and your accomplishments. You develop a healthy level of narcissism in childhood when you have parents who allow you the freedom form your own opinions and express your most vulnerable emotions in a supportive environment without criticism and shame.
So in essence, you’re supposed to love yourself. If you have a strong core of self-love and joy, you can sit in a job you hate and take the arrows that are thrown at you. The arrows may damage you superficially like making you unhappy at work, but you can withstand it because you still have your core that allows you to feel satisfaction with life on the inside.
Therefore, when you leave your job at the end of the day, you have the capacity to move on to something else that makes you happy and restores your damaged outer covering.
Pathological narcissism moves down the continuum in the direction of over-inflating your self-worth and doing things that are exclusively for your self-gratification and often to the detriment of others. For some people, this can look like the need to take from people to feel a gain, you tear people down to feel built up, someone else’s win is experienced as a loss for you.
