featured image

In a sample of highly successful entrepreneurs, an astounding 62% identified as having traits consistent with an ADHD diagnosis. This is a coincidence or more. John Torrens is an entrepreneurship professor at Syracuse University and a founder and president. He discusses recent research as well as his personal experiences and explains how ADHD could be “entrepreneur’s superpower.” John Torrens, a Professor of Entrepreneurial Practice in Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management, has attention-deficithyperactivity disorder (ADHD). His talk will discuss his experiences as an ADHD entrepreneur and the research that shows ADHD may be an “extrepreneur’s superpower.” His goal is to share his message that ADHD can be a benefit in the contexts of entrepreneurship, even though it’s considered a disability. This talk was delivered at a TEDx event that used the TED conference format, but was organized locally by a community. Find out more at x

Nervous about public speaking? Do you suffer from stage fright? Terrified at the thought of addressing a large crowd, a small crowd, or even a small group of coworkers? You are not alone.

Here are 7 ideas that allowed me to overcome my natural shyness, conquer my social anxiety, and tame the terror of large audiences. These are simple strategies that allowed me to see audiences as my allies, and turn my nervousness into a positive rush of excitement.

Now, I love being onstage, giving presentations and performing comedy for thousands of people. Here's how I transformed what I once found terrifying into something delightful and exhilarating.

"You might be asking, ‘Who is this guy, and why is he doing this?’

Well, I’m a husband, dad, comedy writer, producer, director and performer. In 2009 I produced my first ever documentary, ADD & Loving It?! which has now been seen by millions of people worldwide. I was diagnosed with adult ADHD (combined subtype) at age 47, and I’ve had a few bouts of depression too.

This Patreon page is for those of us that love to take on new projects, and are interested in a wide range of topics. It’s a space where we can freely talk about our minds that jump here and there, and the fun and challenges that come with that.

-A live chat every month with me and sometimes some very interesting guests
-A private Discord group
-Advance previews of newest videos
-A personalized welcome video from me

I invite you to pick a monthly payment that suits you, and then take the leap – give it a try! There are no minimums. If you register for one month, or for years, I want you to feel welcomed, and get lots of value from being here."
