How Vision Therapy Helps Kids with ADHD Focus and Learn

featured image

ADHD symptoms can make it hard to see what is truly going on with our kiddos. Vision problems are often the root cause of ADHD symptoms such as being distracted or unable to learn and read.

Veronica speaks with Dr. Laura Knapp (a Behavioral Optometrist) about her work with children to improve their vision skills. Dr. Knapp holds a Doctorate of Optometry. She is passionate about helping children with learning-related vision problems.

Dr. Knapp teaches us that vision is much more than 20/20 and impacts all of a persons’ processing skills and motor functions. ADHD children have a harder time processing and retaining information, especially in classrooms.

Vision therapy can help you address all these issues.
– Reduce the symptoms that make focus difficult (headaches, vision tracking, reading comprehension)
– Improve neurological aspects of focus, motor skills, and proprioception
You can help your kiddo be more in control and less frustrated

This video will answer one of the most common and basic questions regarding anxiety and panic disorders. It's titled "exactly what's anxiety?"

Anxiety can be a psychological or physiological state that can affect your cognitive processes. Anxiety is simply a feeling of worry or fear that causes a person to feel anxious and stressed out. This can make a date unpleasant and even uncomfortable.

Although stress is normal in response to stressful situations, anxiety that becomes paranoid and uncontrollable is considered an anxiety disorder.

ADHD symptoms can make it hard to see what is truly going on with our kiddos. Many times, the root causes for them being distracted and unable to read and learn is due to vision issues.

In this interview, Veronica talks with Dr. Laura Knapp, a Behavioral Optometrist who works with kids to improve those fundamental vision skills. Dr. Knapp has a Doctorate in Optometry and has a passion for helping kiddos with learning-related vision disorders.

– Reduce the symptoms that make focus difficult (headaches, vision tracking, reading comprehension)
– Improve neurological aspects of focus, motor skills, and proprioception
– Your kiddo can be more in control and less frustrated
