Should we give our children who suffer from ADHD medication or Transcendental Meditation?
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), although stimulant medications are an effective first-line treatment for ADHD, concern persists regarding the possible side effects and long-term health outcomes associated with stimulant consumption.
As parents and educators search for options and alternatives, groundbreaking research is showing the effectiveness of the Transcendental Meditation technique, a non-drug approach to ADHD. Insights in Health explores the research and experiences using the Transcendental Meditation technique for ADHD.

Many autistic children have difficulty with social interaction and communication. Some examples of common symptoms include:
not responding to their name by the time they are 12 months old preferring not to be held or cuddled not following instructions not looking at something when another person points to it losing certain skills, such as no longer saying a word they could use before difficulty explaining what they want or need difficulty understanding how other people are feeling avoiding eye contact #Autismsymptoms #ADHD #ADD
Though boys are more likely to be diagnosed with autism than girls it does not mean that girls can never be autistic. In this video you will find details about how girls can also be in need of special care and that girls can also be affected by autism. Disorders care is a researched base small group that is dedicated to providing the necessary information relating to disorders for parents and guardians of challenged kids so that not only they can timely identify the disorder and but also so that they can take better care of their children.
Former rugby referee and NCMH Research Champion Clive Norling shares his experience of depression and explains why he got involved in our research.
ABOUT NCMH
The National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH) is working to find out more about what causes mental health problems such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD and PTSD.
NCMH is made up of researchers from Cardiff, Swansea and Bangor Universities, and funded by Health and Care Research Wales.
We aim to improve life for people affected by mental health problems by supporting and undertaking mental health research, raising awareness of mental health issues and fighting stigma.
Together we can make a difference for mental health.

I don’t like being told what to do. I never have. So many people have tried to make me ashamed of myself for that. But I think that my untamable heart is precisely what makes me so thrilled and proud to be me.
Let me give you some examples...
In a world where people make money off of a woman hating her body, I have made the wildly rebellious decision to fully accept and love my body as it is.
In a society where women are taught to depend on men in high ranking positions of power to give them their “big break,” instead, I will choose to fund my own dream, in newer, more creative ways, with no one’s permission but my own.
In an industry (music), where men in charge make money off of women being one-dimensional, I have decided that I refuse to fit in a box and will do everything that I want to do; whether that means writing my own songs, producing my own music, playing multiple instruments, dancing… whatever inspires me. No matter how uncomfortable it makes them. They want me to quiet my opinion, change my hair color, dress in the acceptable outfit, and sing the songs they’ve chosen for me to sing. Instead, I’m going to be louder, bolder, wear what I want, play the music that I wrote and produced, and not worry about what anyone has to say about it.
I find that we, as women are constantly being told to squeeze ourselves into boxes in order to make people feel more comfortable with us. But I wasn’t designed for that. And neither were you.
What if we weren’t put here, on this planet to shrink? But instead to expand, and become the highest versions of ourselves? What if we were put here to become the most fearless versions of ourselves that we could be? On my Instagram, the first question that comes up in my bio is this: What would you do if you weren’t afraid? I want to know that from you. What would you do, if you weren’t afraid of anything? Of what people would think? Of failure? Of whatever it is that is holding you back? Let me know right here…
In all of my music, I push myself to rise to the challenge of that question: What would you do if you weren’t afraid? I switch up my genres because it scares me. I wear outfits that scare me. I build shows and media pieces and art that scares me to build. Because it is in facing our fears that we become great, and refusing to fit in boxes that we break new glass ceilings.
I wrote this song, Adderall, about being abused and manipulated by someone who was trying to make me accept that I belonged in a box. (You can listen to it right here: They hoped that I would shrink, because that is what made them feel more comfortable. Instead of encouraging me to rise and conquer my fears to become my greatest self, they asked me to lesser myself to be more palatable for the world. And that’s what happens to so many of us. But I’m not accepting it. And neither should you.
What do you think? Do you feel like you can identify with the pressure to fit in a box? What would you do if you weren’t afraid? Are you already doing it? Are there steps you can take to be braver, bolder, and wilder in your life? Send me a message and/or comment below!
Love you so much. -EMM

ADDERALL LYRICS
VERSE 1
Look at you
Looking for
A way out
From what you have done
Once again
You have played the victim and
I'm the villain
PRE CHORUS
You point your trigger finger
And paint the picture like it's me, me
And as your buried deeper
You bite the hand that tries to reach,
Reach
So
CHORUS
Blame it on the cocaine
Blame it on the adderall
Blame it on the champagne
Just don't blame me
Blame it on the cocaine
Blame it on the alcohol
Blame it on your pain
Just don't blame me
VERSE 2
Here we are
On the other side of it all,
I put up a wall
Still you try
To keep climbing into my life
But I still feel the knife
Pre Chorus
Chorus
POST CHORUS
Don’t blame me, ah
Don’t blame me
Don’t blame me, ah
Don’t blame me, yeah!
BRIDGE
You'd blame it on the way I talk
You'd blame it on the way I dress
You'd blame me when things went wrong
You'd blame me when you made the mess
Tell everybody it's my fault
Talk about me to your friends
You can keep runnin your mouth
But You'll never ruin my reputation

In this episode, we’re meeting Jason Boughn, a life coach specializing in tools to address ADHD. He also welcomes neurodiversity of all types and neurotypical people! Jason has a comfortable way of evoking a person’s story, getting to the heart of the matter most relevant to the storyteller. The stories we tell ourselves and the ones created to fit in better with others are affirmations which shape our reality. Jason’s focus is exploring and reframing our personal story to create a beautiful life experience.
In this episode, Jason shares his story about his brain injury and how it has impacted his life, and how the manifestations of ADHD are similar traumatic brain injuries (TBI). You’ll also hear about how Jason experiences emotion, not fitting in, acting, and his passion for learning.
Then, you’ll also hear about his journey through relationships, his compassion throughout those relationships, how he overcame homelessness, and what led to that chapter in his life.
