Rick Green
Former member of the popular Canadian comedy troupe, “The Frantics” and cro-creator of the “Red Green show”, one of the top Canadian comedies of all time, Rick Green is celebrated as one of the biggest names in Canadian entertainment. When he was diagnosed with ADD after one of his children was found to have it, his work took a new turn. Writing and directing an award winning documentary called “ADD and loving it?” he became a major advocate for ADHD. He’s currently writing a book with Dr. Umesh Jain called “ADD stole my Car Keys”.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.(*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

*CORRECTION NOTICEAt 1: 15 I noted that in 1960 it was reported a racemic mixture of amphetamine could be used to control ADHD symptoms. However, I stated that it was approved by FDA for treatment of ADHD in 1996.. The treatment of ADHD in 1996. was approved by the FDA. However, it was approved in a 3:1 ratio between the d- and l-isomers (as I explain at 3 15 in this video), and not the racemic mixture in the 1960 research.

A brief overview of Metabolism of Lisdexamfetamine, (Vyvanse), and other pertinent information provided by a classmate (give him credit for finding all of the sources). ALL information presented was acquired from recently published (2010-2014) PRIMARY scientific journal articles, which are cited at the end of the video. The articles used were/were, to the best of our knowledge the most current and advanced articles available on the metabolism Lisdexamfetamine. Feel free to comment below if you have any questions, feel that something is unclear, missed something, or if you have any other concerns. Youtube is a place I frequent often, so I'll be sure to respond to you promptly. A thumbs up for our video is always appreciated!

This animation discusses what it means to have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

It was created by ADHD children, their families, carers, and professionals in the field. It draws on both research and ideas from ADHD sufferers as well as children.

This animation is part a Wellcome-funded project by Cardiff University.

Are you interested in sharing our video with schools, children's groups or as part training? We would love to hear from you.

Email info@ncmh.info with your name, your organization, the way you are sharing the video, your target audience and any feedback. We might be able offer additional resources or opportunities to participate in ADHD research.
