Samuele Cortese MD, PhD is currently Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for the University of Southampton and Honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for Solent NHS Trust. Professor Cortese contributes to the editorial management of the systematic reviews/meta-analyses submitted to CAMH.

As an adjunct associate professor at New York University, he is also a researcher. Professor Cortese is primarily interested in evidence synthesis in child/adolescent psychological health. He was included in the list of the world's most influential researchers of the past decade, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1 percent by citations in the field of psychiatry/psychology in 2019 in Web of Science. He was also No. 2 worldwide in terms of expertise on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) according to Expertscape.
