What is ADHD?
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a neurodevelopmental disorder, is characterised by excessive energy, inattention, hyper-fixation, impulsivity, and other symptoms that are not appropriate for an individual's age.
ADHD can also cause problems with executive function and emotional regulation. The symptoms must be present for at least six months and have caused problems in at least two settings (such school, home, or recreational activities) to qualify as ADHD.
Children who have trouble paying attention can experience a decrease in school performance. It can also be associated with mental disorders or substance abuse disorders.
ADHD can cause impairments, but many people with ADHD can maintain attention (hyperfocus), for tasks that they find rewarding or interesting.
What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback Therapy, also known as Neurofeedback, is a method that teaches people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), how to control their brain waves.
