Dr. Lizabeth R. Roemer is Professor and Chair in the Department of Psychology, University of Massachusetts Boston. She is involved in research and clinical training of doctoral student in clinical psychology. Dr. Roemer is the author of four books and has published journal chapters, book chapters, and over journal article. Dr. Roemer developed an acceptance-based behavioral treatment for generalized anxiety disorder in collaboration with Dr. Susan Orsillo. The National Institute of Mental Health funded studies that examined the effectiveness of this treatment.
