ADHD and Dyslexia: Why do they so often co-occur?

What’s the connection between ADHD and dyslexia? Why is there so much ADHD and dyslexia in children? We still have a lot to learn about these learning and thinking differences, and why they might co-occur so often.

Fumiko Hoeft MD and PhD is a professor of psychiatry at UCSF’s Weill Institute for Neurosciences. She discusses some possible causes of this co-occurrence. Learn what top researchers know and don’t know about the brain parts that cause each of these learning differences. This research could help us find better ADHD and dyslexia treatments in the future.
