Before you invest in real estate, one of the most important decisions you have to make is choosing a rental market. It’s not as easy as just looking at a map and deciding where to invest. Market research is a crucial step that requires much thought and analysis.
Appreciation is a key topic in my market research checklist video. When it comes to appreciation, we look for the sweet spot. This means that although I don’t invest solely for appreciation, I do like to see consistent growth. We are looking for average appreciation. Not high-end, but not nonexistent.
