Although executive dysfunction is not synonymous to ADHD, its symptoms are significant.

Executive functions are cognitive and mental abilities that enable people to accomplish tasks. They manage actions and behavior and help us achieve our goals.

A person with a problem with their executive functions may have difficulty analyzing, planning and organizing, as well as scheduling and completing tasks. Executive function deficiencies can cause frustration in people who are unable to manage their anger, handle stress, finish and start tasks, remember and follow multi-step instructions, keep on track, balance work and personal life.
