Here are some helpful tips to help someone suffering from depression. First you must ensure you’re healthy. Like flight attendants recommend that you put on your oxygen mask prior to helping another passenger, you should be sure you’re healthy before you help. This will ensure that you don’t feel compelled to help others. If you’re healthy, you can help a family member or friend member suffering from depression.
What are the indicators of Depression?
Half of people with depression don’t seek treatment. The good news is that there are ways to manage depression. Your doctor can diagnose depression through several factors, including your recent trauma and the symptoms you’re experiencing. Your doctor could refer you to a mental health specialist for further evaluation and treatment. This could include antidepressants and psychotherapy. Depression could be an indication of a more serious medical problem. However, it’s important to note that the symptoms and signs of depression are different.
