It is defined as eating too many, too quickly and then suffering embarrassment. Shire Pharmaceuticals, which popularized the term B.E.D. seeks to increase sales of Vyvanse, its only F.D.A. This condition is treated with an approved drug. This pro-drug quickly becomes amphetamine and all its toxicities. It is still unclear if Vyvanse, which is also promoted as a treatment for ADHD, represents a significant advance.
